Comment les traders expérimentés parviennent-ils à rester disciplinés et à suivre leurs plans de trading avec constance alors que moi, en tant que trader débutant, je me retrouve constamment à enfreindre mes propres règles, même si je sais que je fais quelque chose de nuisible sur le moment ? Parce que je place un stop-loss, puis je le repousse pour éviter la perte ; ou je me dis que je ne risque que 1 % par transaction, mais j'augmente la taille de mes lots pour récupérer mes pertes ; ou encore je me dis que j'ai fini de trader pour la journée, mais je replonge parce que je vois une bougie qui bouge rapidement et que je ressens une envie irrésistible de profiter de « l'opportunité »...

Bien que pleinement consciente du caractère irrationnel et destructeur de ces comportements, je les répète sans cesse, comme si j'étais incapable de m'arrêter. J'ai l'impression que le trading révèle mes pires faiblesses psychologiques et les amplifie au point de me frustrer constamment, d'avoir honte de mon manque de contrôle et d'être désorientée. Je comprends parfaitement la gestion des risques sur le plan intellectuel, mais je n'arrive pas à l'appliquer en pratique, surtout lors de fortes émotions où le marché semble offrir des profits faciles ou, au contraire, représenter un danger imminent. Cela déclenche une sorte de panique qui anéantit tous mes plans. Je me demande alors si la discipline est une qualité innée ou s'il existe un obstacle mental ou émotionnel plus profond à franchir pour espérer trader de manière rentable. Je crains sincèrement que si je ne parviens pas à maîtriser mes impulsions, je ne devienne jamais une trader régulière. Comment les professionnels développent-ils une telle discipline ? Comment puis-je m'entraîner à suivre des règles même quand tout en moi a envie de les enfreindre ?
