WHO says coronavirus cases in South Africa more than double as omicron spreads

The World Health Organization (WHO) released its latest report. Number of people infected with COVID-19 New cases in South Africa more than doubled in the past week. Amid the epidemic of the Omicron virus strain which became the main species that spread throughout the country

The latest WHO disclosure comes as the Omicron strain spreads around the world. The number of cases of Omicron virus in South Africa and Botswana accounted for 62% of the total Omikron infections as of date, with WHO confirmed cases in 57 countries. 2 Dec.
